I was tasked with conceptualizing the launch event for the Spotify VIP program. For one night only, Spotify and its many genres were made tangible in phyiscal space. 

We toyed with various experience idea; but eventaully landed on a theme that fits well for the project. A house party. A Media launch can be come quite a templated endeavor so we decided to create a media launch that didn’t feel like one. 

My belief is that we don’t need to look far to tell the stories of a strong brand. So instead of leading with external inspiration, we looked deeper into the beliefs and elements that Spotify already exhibits and found ways to amplify those into the real world. For example, we used LED lighting to mimic the app’s track bar, creating a visual beat that coursed through the venue. We divided the space into themed areas reflecting popular music genres in the Philippines.
